Join our Chunky Blanket workshop at Joe Rich Community Centre and create a cozy blanket.

Our instructor will guide you step-by-step through using soft, oversized yarn and finger-knitting to create a beautiful chunky blanket — no experience needed.

You’ll have up to 3 hours of hands-on knitting and most people finish their blanket during the workshop. If you don’t, you’ll head home with all your materials plus a video tutorial so you can easily complete it at your own pace.

By the end of the night, you’ll have a beautiful, cozy blanket to take home.

Furniture Painting Workshop

Want to paint a piece of furniture but not sure where to start? Bring a small piece to this hands-on workshop and learn how to prep, paint, and protect it using Fusion Mineral Paint.

You’ll leave with a transformed piece in the colour of your choice, plus the skills and supplies to keep creating!

Details:

• When: 11 – 2 pm (bring snacks or drinks if you’d like). There is a coffee shop and bakery next door as well:)

• Where: 542 Lawrence Ave, Kelowna

• Cost: $140 per person ($75 for the class and + $65 for painting supplies)

• Includes: Pint of Fusion Mineral Paint (your colour choice) + Paint Kit (1” brush, roller, sanding pad, tray)

IMPORTANT! Prep your piece before class: Clean with Fusion’s TSP Alternative (or TSP, rinsed), remove hardware, and sand with 220 grit to de-gloss the piece of furniture.

If unforeseen circumstances arise and you are unable to attend the workshop you are registered for, we suggest you find a friend or family member to come in your place so that you do not lose your registration fee.  If you cannot attend the workshop and give us 48-hour notice you will be able to attend the same workshop and complete the same project within 90 days at one of our Saturday Crafternoons or Drop In or we can offer to pack your project as a DIY Kit and you will be able to complete your project at home.
