Join our Chunky Blanket workshop at our DIY Studio Downton Kelowna and create a cozy blanket.

Our instructor will guide you step-by-step through using soft, oversized yarn and finger-knitting to create a luxurious chunky blanket — no experience needed.

You’ll have up to 3 hours of hands-on knitting and most people finish their blanket during the workshop. If you don’t, you’ll head home with all your materials plus a video tutorial so you can easily complete it at your own pace.

Furniture Painting Workshop

Want to paint a piece of furniture but not sure where to start? Bring a small piece to this hands-on workshop and learn how to prep, paint, and protect it using Fusion Mineral Paint.

You’ll leave with a transformed piece in the colour of your choice, plus the skills and supplies to keep creating!

Registration fees are non-refundable. If unforeseen circumstances arise and you are unable to attend the workshop you are registered for, we suggest you find a friend or family member to come in your place so that you do not lose your registration fee.  If you cannot attend the workshop and give us 48-hour notice or If the event is cancelled for any reason by the organizer, there will be no monetary refunds. You will be able to attend the same workshop and complete the same project within 90 days at one of our Saturday Crafternoons or Drop In or we can offer to pack your project as a DIY Kit and you will be able to complete your project at home. If the workshop is canceled by any reason by your to your group, there are no monetary refunds.

Your group will enjoy a 2-hour private workshop, where our instructors lead everyone step-by-step through creating their signs using vinyl stencils. Each participant can customize their design with Fusion Mineral Paint colours of their choice for a truly personal touch.

Want to make a Chunky Blanket? 🧶✨

Because this is a longer project (and a little different from our usual ones), anyone creating a chunky blanket will need to arrive 30 minutes early so we can get you started right away.

Our instructor will guide you step-by-step through the process of using soft, oversized yarn and finger knitting to create a beautiful, cozy blanket — no experience needed!

You’ll have up to 3 hours of hands-on time, and most people finish their blanket during the workshop. If you don’t, no stress — you’ll head home with all your materials plus a video tutorial so you can easily finish at your own pace.

By the end of the night, you’ll have a gorgeous handmade blanket to take home (and a really fun memory too 💛).
