HOW DOES IT WORK?

• We offer private group workshops for groups of 8-18.* anywhere in the Okanagan.

  • * Traveling fee will be applied. Look below for more information.

  • *Larger groups can also be accommodated with more project options. Please message us for more information.

  • *Smaller groups, please join one of our public events. We will make sure you are all seated at the same table.

• Choose a date for the private event. Check our availability below.

• The workshop takes between 1.5-2 hours

• Everyone will be able to create one of the project type from the selection below.

• Each project has lots of different design options.

• A link will be created on the website with full price list and design choices after booking the event.

• Invite your friends, family and colleagues to the class and share the sign up link with your guests.

• You and your guests sign up on the website, choose the project, the design and pre-pay for the class.

• Everyone should sign up at least a 5 days before the workshop!

• You will receive a $25 Gift Card as a thank you for organizing the event if your group has 8 or more people including you.

Q&A

Do I have to be crafty?

You don’t have to be crafty as these workshops are made easy! No free handing! Our instructor will guide you through the process with easy step by step instructions in creating a project that you will be proud to showcase in your home and say “I made it!“

What is the cost?

There are different prices for different projects. The price per person starts from $49+gst .

What is the traveling charge for the home parties?

Traveling charge is $0.80+gst per km. It is calculated per kilometre from Rustic Chalk Decor DIY studio to the workshop location and back to the studio and the total amount gets divided between all of the workshop guests! 

The host will be responsive to cover the traveling charge. Invoice will be emailed after booking the event. The host can then divide the amount between all of the participants and collect from each person individually.

To calculate the traveling charge go to Google Maps and find the distance between the workshop location and Rustic Chalk decor DIY Studio in Kelowna. Multiply it by two to calculate the total kilometres in both directions and then multiply that by $0.80. This will show you the traveling charge!  Approximate  traveling charge to West Kelowna is $16, Penticton $104, Lake Country $60, Salmon Arm $174.

What happens if I signed up for the workshop, but can’t attend or it got cancelled?

Due to the custom nature of our business, registration fees are non-refundable.  If the workshop is cancelled or you cannot attend the workshop, but have registered, your project will be packed up as DIY Kit and will be able to complete the project at home OR your friends can make it for you at the scheduled workshop.

Can i order a custom design for my sign?

You can order a custom design for a service fee of $38+gst. in addition to the workshop price. Please email us the information at rusticchalkdecor@gmail.com at least a 7 days before the workshop to allow for production of the template.
